You might have read my first post regarding my weight loss some time ago. That was primarily a before and after of a 5 month time period.

Well it’s been two years since that post and it’s time to update. Working out regularly became a routine for me, it’s something I feel incomplete without. The amount of energy I lacked before exercising regularly was shameful. Now, I feel tired if I DON’T workout.. go figure!

In that first post I talked about how I started with workout videos at home. I know that method works well for lots of stay at home parents. It does not work for me, my kids love to interrupt me or “join” me and by join they mean get in my way and steal my yoga mat. Continue reading “My Fitness Journey”

My Physical Progress After Babies

I may have mentioned before, I was 21 years old when I had my first daughter. Just prior to getting pregnant, I had lost about 10 pounds with a low carb diet. That weight loss probably helped it happen. After having her, my main concern was this new baby and I didn’t focus on myself right away.

I went through a lot of ups and downs in the next few years, relationship issues, insecurity, depression. The tightness of my pants fluctuated constantly.

I’ve always been a big fan of food. I plan vacations around restaurants for pete’s sake. Before having children, my fitness routine was to go the gym a couple times a week and eat whatever I wanted… it worked well for a few years until it finally caught up with me.
